Please e-mail, to be placed on waitlist. After 15 years working with community-based, non-profit agencies in multiple roles as well as about 20 years working with vulnerable youth, I am happily dedicated to private practice care. My practice is centered around whole-person treatment. Together, we will explore root causes to your symptoms, the narrative of your family system, process old trauma and develop healthy coping skills to manage your symptoms. Trauma, OCD, Generalized Anxiety and Codependency Treatment, are my primary specialties, and I look forward to learning about and helping you identify your unique goals for therapy. I find that Cognitive Behavioral Therapy or Trauma-Focused CBT as well as Short-term, Solution Focused Therapy, are efficient in the goal-setting process for most clients. I also use Narrative Therapy and Depression Treatment Quality Improvement (DTQI) methods to support reducing Depression. Treatment is not one-size fits all. My approach is to hold empathy, compassion and work from the stance that everyone can grow into the person they want to be. I do my best to be real and infuse humor in my style of therapy. I believe in humility and appropriate self-disclosure, but the focus is always on you! If you would like a free-consult, please e-mail for the fastest response!

Carey Driscoll has worked in the social work field for 25 years and has been in private practice for a decade. During the pandemic, the need for therapists increased, so starting Driscoll Care Group was an easy decision. Each clinician was hand selected and adds so much value to each client's life and my own! Each clinician brings a unique skill set and always comes from a realistic life-centered focus. Before working in private practice, Carey was the Principal of an all-boys residential school in California. Prior to this, Carey was an educational consultant in the State of Alaska. Before this, Carey was a school adjustment counselor at a school outside of Boston for kids ages 5-21 who had failed (or been failed) in the regular education setting and needed a special education school setting. In all of these settings, Carey’s passion was to find the root of the problem so that each child could find success and joy. Labeling humans with a diagnosis, without getting to the why has never been my approach and in fact, I dislike labels, as they don’t inform practice. Taking the time to understand how people view the world and why, makes their behaviors make sense. Fixing someone's behaviors is absolutely doable, but one needs to understand the why first. Stepping back and getting to know someone at their core makes understanding their path to happiness clearer. We’re strong believers that everyone can achieve great heights, but it has to start with YOU!

Hello wonderful colleagues! I am a native Texan, who also lived in CA and MD, established myself in CT for over a decade, and currently transitioning to MA (#wanderlust). I have been in private practice since 2016, and specialize in couples work. I am advanced trained in EFT, and also use AEDP, Attachment-based, Narrative, and Structural techniques with clients. My primary focus is repair and reconnection work, but I also enjoy uncoupling work, and I'm a trained divorce mediator. I do not wear that hat very often, but I utilize those skills when needed to support uncoupling clients. I also have an interest in ADHD in couples, and looking for opportunities to learn more and assist these clients! If you know of any solid trainings and resources, please pass those along! I have a warm, laid back, curious approach, know my stuff, and prefer a sense of humor in session after a solid break through. My practice stays pretty full, but I generally have a "floater" here and there to take on a new client. I have recently gone full private pay and no longer accept in-network due to....all the reasons (WTF to all the things insurance related!). I am happy to help clients with the out of network process, and also work with the Lyra EAP. As I'm rebuilding in MA, I'd love to meet new colleagues in the area! I'm physically located on the Cape until May 2023 (when I'll be a traveling therapist in Europe for awhile), and offer telehealth only at this time. I look forward to getting to know you! Jacquie

I believe we're all naturally inclined toward growth and success—each with our own strengths, desires, and goals that would lead us in the direction of contentment and happiness under optimal conditions. But we don’t live in a perfect world, and in an effort to adapt, we sometimes develop strategies that make sense in the short term, but aren't, in a lasting way, effective in moving us forward. We get stuck, leading to anxiety, frustration, and conflict, which leads in turn to us feeling bad about ourselves and our relationships. I view therapy as a collaboration between me and my clients, where we work together to understand the root causes of thoughts, feelings, and behaviors that get in the way of being who you want to be and doing what you want to do. We clarify your goals, uncover and capitalize on existing strengths, and develop new ways of working through difficulties. My style is directive, supportive, honest, and compassionate, and my approach is integrative and flexible. This is your journey. We'll start wherever you are and go from there!

For more than 20 years, I have provided therapy to individuals, couples and groups, as well as offering training, consultation and clinical supervision to individuals and community organizations. My work centers around bridging transitions, fostering personal growth and developing compassionate responses and strategies to address life's challenges. In addition to providing support and encouragement, I will challenge you to think critically about the choices you are making and to work toward overcoming the obstacles that may be keeping you from achieving your goals. My areas of expertise include: mindfulness and meditation; strategies for coping with depression and anxiety; issues around sexuality, sexual functioning and relationships, sexual and gender identity, social skills, trauma, grief, attention training, boundary setting, humor, creativity, resiliency and living with uncertainty and change. My approach to everything I do is to be as real as I can be. What you see is what you get. I provide my clients with an accurate reflection of what I see and a professional assessment of how they might do things differently.

Let's work together to overcome the stressors that have been burdening your life. Therapy by no means solves all the issues we face day to day. What I do is help you find the strength that you have always had, but has been buried by hardship. This happens to all of us at some point, and it is at that moment that we need help. Help is the service I provide, and am happy to do so. So, let's work together to find your strength, and overcome your adversity. My counseling style is based on a culmination of different interventions (cognitive behavioral therapy, psychodynamic, motivational interviewing, etc.), that have clinical evidence of their effectiveness. We will increase your mindfulness, and develop the tools you need to reduce the stressors that are interfering with your goals. Call, email, or even video chat me if you'd like to reach me. I provide a free consultation session, to anyone who wants to learn a little bit more about me and my services. I look forward to speaking with you
